New Turkey Cuts

Turkey Mince

An easy substitute for beef mince in your favourite recipes such as lasagne or spaghetti bolognaise.

Turkey Mince Spaghetti Bolognaise
Serves 4

 

 

500g Fresh Turkey Mince
1 tablespoon oil
1 onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 tablespoon oil, extra
425g can tomato pieces
200g tomato puree
1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
Salt and pepper
Hot Spaghetti, to serve
Green salad, to serve

  1. Heat oil in pan over low heat, cook onion and garlic until transparent. Remove from pan.
  2. Add extra oil to pan over high heat and cook turkey mince in batches until browned. Return onion and garlic to pan with the all mince.
  3. Add tomatoes, puree, basil, salt and pepper to mince. Stir well and bring to boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes.
  4. Serve over hot spaghetti with a green salad.
