Japanese Flavoured Marinade

  • 14 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons salt reduced soy
  • 1 tablespoon mirin
  • 2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 14 teaspoon white pepper
  • Fresh Turkey Pieces

Combine vegetable oil, lemon juice, soy, mirin, ginger, salt and pepper in a jug.

Place turkey pieces into a shallow ceramic dish. Pour marinade over turkey. Turn turkey pieces until well coated with marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, overnight if possible.

Cook turkey as per pack instructions.

Turkey Tips

  • Always store cooked foods above raw foods in the refrigerator.
  • Defrost in the refrigerator only, not on the bench.
  • If you cook poultry to eat later, refrigerate while hot.
  • Use separate cutting boards and utensils when handling raw and cooked poultry. Wash these thoroughly with hot, soapy water before and after handling. Also use separate cutting boards from poultry for fruit and vegetables.
