Sydney Mum, Rebecca Bell, is our first Talking Turkey contributor who is a Today’s Turkey newsletter member. She has a 4 year old son and 2 year old daughter, and because she also works three days a week, turkey recipes give her a fast and easy meal option for those busy nights.

Why do you like cooking with turkey?

I really like using turkey because it is a great substitute for other meats in traditional recipes. I use turkey mince in my lasagne recipe - it’s a nice new flavour in an old family favourite!

What is your favourite turkey cut?

Turkey mince has to be my choice. Besides being easy to prepare, the kids devour anything I make with it. I also feel good about serving it to my family because I’ve read about how healthy it is.

Do you have any handy tips to pass onto other Today’s Turkey readers?

Don’t be afraid to experiment with the different turkey cuts! I was a bit unsure about cooking with turkey at first but now I treat it just like any other meat. I've also done some experimenting and now have a few recipes that we all really enjoy.
